About Me

My qualifications and experience

My name is Jeremy Tanner and I have had many years experience dealing with the problems dogs can throw at us. Not only have I had practical experience, but I have studied, read extensively, undergone professional training, attended workshops and seminars covering all the major topics that concern dog owners nowadays.

I have gained particular expertise in how to deal with aggression, excessive barking, separation anxiety, pulling on the lead, recall and attention seeking. I am a qualified instructor in Canine First Aid. I have Advanced certificates in Dog Behavioural Problems, including aggression, dog handling and dealing with barking. I also hold Jan Fennell's Foundation & Advanced Certificates in Canine Communication.

For your information I do not use choke chains, shock collars or sprays or bottles filled with stones or any other gadget designed to frighten your dog into submission.

My Dogs

I currently have three dogs, a Border Collie/Springer Spaniel cross, a West Highland terrier (Westie) and a Cairn terrier. Up to a couple of years ago, I also had two German shepherds, but unfortunately they both passed away due to old age. I have had dogs from puppies and I have also taken on rescue dogs, so I have practical personal experience in handling dogs from different backgrounds. I sometimes bring my dogs with me, by prior agreement, if I think it will help in a consultation, so they earn their living!
